Valentina on Broadway by Pato Aguilar

Pato is an experienced muralist in southern Arizona and during a scorching week in July I got to help prep the wall for his Valentina mural at Twice As Nice on Broadway in Tucson. Valentina is one of Pato's signature characters; a wildcat with a story. She's got a gold tooth, a heart in her eye, and the cutest cowboy hat. 

Not only do I love Valentina as a character, but I love the colors of the world she inhabits. Pato's color palettes are vibrant and striking; I could look at them for hours. I certainly love to photograph his work.
